The book that Spinach had given to Larry had helped him throughout their trip. He wasn’t even fazed when turbulence hit, he was so engrossed into his book he didn’t even feel it.
“You’re really enjoying that book, huh?” Spinach said with a yawn, sitting up in her seat.
He smiled at her. “Yeah, it’s helped me alot. Thank you, Spin.”
“You’re welcome, Larry.” She leaned over and wrapped her arms around his arm, snuggling close to him. He shifted so that he was also leaning on her as he continued to read.
(Meanwhile….)
Breadboy couldn’t keep his eyes away from his dad’s. He could see how tense they were, and it was making him feel nauseous, and not from the bumpy plane ride.
Colin glanced over at the little loaf and frowned. He gently nudged Tony, who was in the middle of fixing his watch. “Hey, he looks really worried..”
Tony followed his gaze and felt sympathy well in his chest. “….Yeah. He does.”
“We should do something.”
“What? Like what?” Tony whispered, turning back to him. “It’s not really our business.”
“They’re family, Tony. It is our business.” Colin told him determinedly. “We should ask him what’s making him so scared.”
Tony thought about this for a moment. He didn’t like to intrude on anyone’s personal business, but BB was apart of their family. He shouldn’t have to suffer in his own turmoil of his dilemma. He nodded.
“Alright, come on.” He unbuckled his seatbelt and got up on stiff legs. Colin unbuckled his and followed him slowly to BB’s seat. When they stopped to stand beside him, they could see him more clearly. He looked pale, and his eyes were red. He had been crying…
“Bread Boy?” Tony asked softly, bending down to get to his level.
BB sniffed and turned to face them both, having been watching his parents. “Y-Yeah?”
“You seem troubled.” The clock said. “Did something happen between your parents?”
The little bread loaf nearly broke down again, hiccuping as he covered his eyes, nodding his head. Tony glanced at Colin, worry etched on his face. He placed a hand delicately on BB’s head. BB looked up at him, eyes watering.
“Colin and I will go and talk to them, and see if we can get this under control. They’re not mad at you, ok? You didn’t do anything wrong.” He told him.
“I-I..know, but…” BB began, sniffling. “They..they’re just..so m-mad at each other.”
“It looks like it. Just try and occupy yourself while we talk to them, alright?”
“O-okay. Thank you…”
“No problem, BB.” Tony stood back up and turned to Colin. “Let’s get this figured out, huh?”
The computer nodded. “Yeah. Let’s.”
